Fitness, Family, Lifestyle – Elwood

Fitness is a way of life for passionate Personal Trainer Bianca, Owner of Blue Sky Fitness (@blueskyfitness).  She “practices what she preaches”, and understands the challenges and joys of being a mother to her young son.  “Training has been an integral part of who I am as a woman and mother and how I feel about myself! My mission is to share this journey with as many clients as possible!”

I had the pleasure of photographing Bianca’s gorgeous Bayside apartment, expertly styled by Interior Decorator & Stylist, Kristel at Joy Design Co (@joy.designco).

The brief was clear – a Scandified space, strictly monochrome and STRONG.  Kristel incorporated a rich textural element to give warmth and depth to the small living space, and added contrasting metallics for a luxe feel.

Master Bedroom. The beachside location called for a crisp, white foundation to highlight the incredible light which filters through the plantation shutters. Adding in natural elements with lighting balances the space and Bianca’s art gives the room an injection of vibrant colour.  Kristel used muted versions of teal on the bed in velvet for richness and a beautiful faux fur throw for texture.

{ INTERIORS }  The owners of this gorgeous turn-of-the-century brick home have a love of travel which shows in their cozy mix of European and rustic Asian furniture and home wares.  Each room has a different colour theme subtly running through to match the art and decor which blends so well with the warm wood tones throughout.

The antiques, art and books they collect on their regular trips to Italy (they host gourmet food and wine tours around Italy each year) tell a story of their love of good Italian food and wine.

www.cioccolatabella.com.au  has recipes, accommodation & restaurant travel guides, as well as a great blog of all things Italian.

Rustic wood is the common feature, from the polished wooden floorboards to the mix of beautiful antique furniture.

Recipe books and magazines inspire home cooked meals from cuisines all around the world.

Who wouldn’t have a shoe, handbag and fashion obsession after all those trips to Italy!

A compact courtyard is always full of flowers and organic herbs, vegetables and fruit.  Many hours are spent lovingly tending the garden.

Guests enjoy delicious home made pasta and fine Italian Prosecco.

Tall ornate ceilings give a feeling of space and light.
